It was time for Clara to graduate from the crib and Mary needed an updated look to her room, so for her birthday she got a room makeover. These are the before pictures...
And here are the after pictures...
I still think we need some crown moulding and the wall above the bed and next to the window needs something, but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions?
I LOVE it!! what about putting up black vinyl lettering, a quote or something? I absolutely love quotes on the walls. The sister share a room, right? one of my favorite sisters quotes is, "I loved you too much to just be your friend, so God let me be your sister". I'm going to write that in my daughters' room someday!
I like the mirror or the quote idea, but you are right, that is where the eye goes after the cute window shade....It needs to be a big scale item, whatever you decide...
Love the quote that Sara wrote. I had never heard of that before. The room is adorable! We put a mirror in Lindsay's room and she is in heaven and actually wants to make her hair look nicer now since she sees herself quite a few times a day now instead of just when she goes into the bathroom. I say the quote and the mirror.
So, when are they going to hire you to be on one of those HGTV make-over shows? Great job! Can you come do our house . . . that is someday when we actually get to buy our own house?
Absolutely love the pink and black--so girly, yet classy. You have a great eye for decor. The room looks gorgeous. Did Mary consult you, or did you just do it on your own?
I'm asking, b/c, as usual, our lives are parallel--I am in the middle of re-doing my girls' room, and I made the mistake of letting them have an opinion. So now we have lavender walls and funky, retro green and lavender bedspreads. Actually, there is a small chance it will turn out cute--very small. This is when I need you to live in my neighborhood!
